Games on the PS4 may be installed digitally or purchased on physical game discs. In contrast to game CDs, which you can simply insert into the PS4, you must load digital games on the system before playing them.

There are a few different ways, both locally and remotely, that you may install games into your PlayStation 4 system. Here are some other options for obtaining games on the PS4:

How to Install PS4 games

A web browser, the PlayStation app, the PlayStation Store, or the PS4 Games Library are all places where you can install PS4 games.

The Playstation Store Provides:

If you have yet to do so, you must buy and install the game you wish to play from the PlayStation Store.

• Find the PlayStation Store icon in your PS4’s app list and press the X button to open it.
• Press X, once you’ve decided on the game you want to download. The game’s price and other information will appear on the screen (if applicable).
• If you’re still interested in purchasing the game, choose to Add to Cart and press X.
• The installation will replace Buy if the game is free or previously purchased. Select Install, then press X to add it to your shopping cart.

• When you’ve got the game (or games) you want in your cart, choose to Continue to checkout and press X. Your billing details may need to be input again if they have to be saved.
• After entering your payment information, click the “Confirm Purchase” button, then the “X.”
• Select Install, then exit the window using the X.

In the PS4 Game Collection:

The game will appear in your PS4 Library if you’ve previously bought it but have yet to install it. Before playing the game, you must download it from your Library.

• By pressing the X button, you may access the Library app from the PS4’s Home screen.
• In the left sidebar, under Purchased, click the X to remove it.
• Input X to search the list of games until you find the one you want to download.
• Just press the download button and the X button to cancel. Your video game’s installation should begin promptly.

When Using the PS App or a Web Browser:

You must first turn on automatic downloads on your PS4 before you may remotely download games.

• From the settings menu, choose Power Saving Settings and then Set Features Available in Rest Mode.
• You may activate these features by selecting to turn on the PS4 remotely via the network and maintain an active Internet connection.
• Go back to the Settings menu. When asked to choose a system, choose Automatic Downloads.
• There are checkboxes next to the phrases Application Update Files and System Software Update Files.

Follow These Methods to Remotely Install Games:

• If you’re using a computer, log in to PlayStation.com. Then go to My PS3 > Game Library. From the PlayStation app’s Game Library, choose Purchased.
• When you find a game, you want to download, choose it and then click or tap the Download button.
• Choose your PS4 system from the list of available destinations.
